Applications for DeltaPValves®:
Chiller load matching
The effectiveness of a water chiller is vulnerable to the stability of flow rate relative to its heat transfer capacity. Stabilizing flow in large systems is the function of DeltaPValves®. An emerging approach to chilled water distribution is to vary the flow of water through the machines evaporator bundle which can upset this balance. The DeltaPValves® stabilize the flow changes so that the chillers will not go off line due to flow fluctuations.
These would fit DeltaPValve's® largest size valves and there are few comparative products. Justice Center (Seattle) and Nordstrom Tower (Seattle) are current FCI customers employing this approach in the chilled water plant.
Chiller Condenser water /Evaporator head pressure
In order for a chilled water generation machine to work it needs to reject the heat. There are a number of associated pieces of equipment required to make this happen. It has been discussed that the energy efficiency and heat transfer effectiveness of the chilled water generation system could be increased if the flow of the condenser water was matched to the head pressure of the chiller.
These would fit DeltaPValve's® largest size valves and there are few comparative products.
