Check out Squeezing Maximum Efficiency Out of Your Condensing Boilers by Randy Hassler at McClure Engineering-St. Louis (MEP). It starts with a great point that boilers don’t set the delta T, as it is determined by the coils and control valves. Another often overlooked factor is that delta T should increase at part load, but many conventional systems aren’t getting that benefit due to poor control.
DeltaPValves are a perfect fit at the heating coils to achieve the high delta T these boilers need to condense and maximize efficiency. Let us know if you have a HW system with condensing boilers that could use a little help!
